The swimming pool on Polana Szymoszkowa

The swimming pool on Polana Szymoszkowa is a reservoir that was opened in summer 2007. The water that fills it comes from the „Szymoszkowa GT1” geothermal borehole, located at a depth of 1700 m and has a temperature of around 30°C. According to studies conducted by the Polish Academy of Sciences, the water from the borehole was classified as thermal, mineralized water, which includes: calcium (37%), magnesium (36%), sodium (23%), potassium (2,3%), thanks to which it has pro-health properties. Around the pool there are sunbathing areas with a separate beach volleyball court. The great advantage of the place is its location, providing great views of the Giewont and other peaks of the Tatra Mountains.
