Bardejov a po stopách gotickej cesty (online exkurzie 19-22.7.2021)

Project name: Traveling without borders

Project number: PLSK.02.02.00-SK-0180/18

Program: Interreg V-A Poland – Slovakia 2014 – 2020, II. priority axis - "Sustainable cross-border transportation"

Lead partner: University of Prešov in Prešov

Partner: PWSZ in Nowy Sącz

Project description: The area along the Slovak-Polish border is rich in cultural and natural monuments, social events and sporting events. However, if a person chooses to visit the beauties of both countries, they must look for information by themselves about each monument separately, usually only in the national language of the given country, and when this information is not available, they usually just use individual car transport. The aim of this project is to provide the local population, domestic and foreign tourists, with the possibility of multimodal transport in both countries through the creation of a central point. At this central point they will find all the necessary information in one place in both languages, which will enable them to plan their own route based on their own preferences (e.g., a wooden church route, a high-mountain route or sporting events) and to print or electronically transfer the route created to their laptop or mobile phone.

Main objective of the project: The main objective of the submitted project is to increase the level of attractiveness and level of promotion of all the modes of transport located in the area along the Slovak-Polish border, to generate interest in the use and combination of the available transport in the region and to draw attention to the need for the sustainable use of the available transport options.
